Another christmas cute square!

Hi all,

Hope you are all well, I am at home in Norfolk for a couple of days but will be going back to Essex tomorrow. It has been nice to chill out before I start my job on Monday.
I am posting this from my phone so I will update this post tomorrow with the ingredients!

Woohoo!

Hi everyone, how are you?

I have had a very productive day today and made 4 Christmas cards to add to my collection, I was very motivated as I bought some gorgeous pink petticoat papers and images and my mojo was just flowing! I have made this modern Christmas card and really like the outcome so might be making more of these! My other 3 are using more traditional colours but I will share those with you in the next few days.

What's on my work desk Wednesday

Close up of my desk

The full view!

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It doesn't really feel like Wednesday, after that Bank Holiday Monday it feels like Tuesday to me! I can't get my head around it.

In the photos above you can see what's on my work desk!

I have just downloaded and printed (and still in mid-print as you can see) the Fairy Lights collection by Pink Petticoat here. I am so pleased with the papers and the images, they are just stunning!

Whilst I was waiting for these to print I had a flick through Papercraft Essentials Issue 84 as my printer is a bit sloooooow.

On my desk I also have my latest purchase treat to myself, a gorgeous box of ribbons from Fantastic Ribbons, and they really are fantastic. I've also got my button jar on there to give me a bit of inspiration with all these gorgeous bright papers I have just printed!

LOTV Christmas Cute Square

Hi everyone,

How was your bank holiday weekend? I went home for my Dad's Birthday and we had a fabulous weekend full of giggles, bbq food and silly hats! It was a great laugh.

I have used up one of my LOTV Cute Squares for this card, I still have about 4 left out of my Christmas selection which I am hoping to use up by Christmas!
The papers were a mix of forever friends and DCWV Christmas Papers.
The ribbon was from my stash and I have used red stickles and a Christmas peel off.

One more down, four to go! Keep your eyes peeled for these being used up :-)

Thank You card

I had my final day at Uni on Friday so the count down has disappeared! Woohoo! It was a very strange day, a bit like waiting for something to happen and when it does it doesn't feel real!
I have a week off now and then I start working officially on the 3rd of September! I can't wait!

I have posted this card today as it was the card I made for my mentor on the ward to say thank you for all of his support. He is a huge Beatles fan do I thought the image was appropriate!

Nothing fancy on this card, just a couple of punched out stars and some stickles :-) but I thought I would share it anyway.

I have also posted a photo of the mug our tutor gave us on our last day as a little pressie, I thought it was very thoughtful.

Have a fab bank holiday weekend, it's my dads birthday today so we are having a BBQ... Yes a BBQ on a bank holiday, it may have to be grilled inside but none the less! Haha.

Buttons and thanks

I have made this card after seeing some beautiful inspiration on Pink Petticoat -

I am pleased with how mine turned out but it doesn't look anywhere near as gorgeous and CAS as Liz's version.

What's on my work desk Wednesday?

So this is what's on my work desk today!

My lovely button jar which I just adore, I also notice that Julia has one of these lurking on her desk too! Some random scrumpled up bits of backing paper ready for a card on the left (don't worry I'm hoping the end result doesn't look like it's just been picked out of the bin)... This is still in the making so keep an eye out!

The older I get...

Hi everyone!

I have made this easel card for my lovely Pops for his Birthday next weekend.

I used the image from bugaboo stamps and KNEW it would be perfect! He has just got back in to golfing after having a year of not playing so I thought this would put a smile on his face.

It was nice to take the photo in the sun today but it actually mutes some of the colours on the card, nevermind!

Forever Friends Black & White Aperture Card

Hi all,

How are you? Have you had a good week? It's Friday tomorrow woohoo! 2 more shifts left for me as a student nurse too :-) Can't believe it's nearly over.

I have made this card today inspired by the Forever Friends Monthly Challenge.

All elements on this card were made using the Do Crafts CD Rom (still a favourite of mine).

I used some ice stickles on the sentiment and made by own paper rose for the flower centre, flower die by cheery lynn. The black ribbon was cut from a new top and the gem was from my stash.

LOTV get well soon

Hi everyone,

How has your week been? Mine has been a bit all over the place! I have been on nights so I don't even know what day it is today! Haha.

I have made this get well card today, the card blank had all the papers stuck on from a previous card attempt however I was not happy and abandoned it so it has been sat in my drawer for a while waiting for some inspiration to strike! As soon as I saw the LOTV Get Well Bunny image I knew the orange and green would look really suit the papers.

I was lucky enough to win The Stamp Baskets blog candy recently so have used the ribbon, twine and gems from my lovely goodies! Thanks again The Stamp Basket!!

A CAS Christmas

Hi Everyone,

How are you all?

Sorry I haven't posted much this week, it's been a bit full on! My partner Sean and I have some exciting news that we have been planning and arranging but I can't announce just yet... sorry to leave you hanging!

I have made these 6 cards this morning, I downloaded the images from Pink Petticoat and punched them out of white card then put them on to some green cardstock and stuck them on to these diddy cards. I coloured the images with promarker and glitz them up with some stickles in various colours!

No card from me today as I have been working and I am working again tomorrow, hopefully I will be able to get something made over the weekend.

I thought I would share with you all that I got my dissertation result today and I passed with 70% which is an A!!

I am over the moon and it means I have passed my degree and will be qualifying in 3 and a half weeks as a children's nurse.

Thank you for all your lovely comments recently and your fab support with all my university posts!

Hope you are all well,
