Guess what Santa bought me!?

Hi all,
Just thought I would post up as it is our unofficial 'boxing day' at my house today. We opened our pressies yesterday and had a lovely Christmas dinner together. I was extremely lucky and was bought.....

... a Big Shot!!!!

I am so pleased and cannot wait to start using it! The only problem now is that I would like to buy some Promarkers/copics so that I can colour my images after they have been die cut... but I do not know where to start!
I have had a look at LOTV's useful colours chart:

http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/acatalog/Marker_Pen_Colour_Suggestions.html

(really helpful) so have a small idea of the colours I will need, but would like to start with a few basics.
If any of you know where I can start and which company's do the best deals I would be very grateful. I will also need to buy some dies now too! How exciting!!

Hope you are all well
:-)

Hi Laura - lucky girl! I love Pro Markers but am very naughty and couldn't make my mind up so I got the lot in one hit :( If you want me to look at my favourites (ie. the ones I use most) let me sleep on it and perhaps drop me an email to here di_wray@hotmail.com. Also, If you go to this lovely blog http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.com/ which is run by the very friendly Jules, you'll see that Handy Hippo have a great giveaway running right now.Another place, which is where I bought my PMs from is : http://www.cowlingandwilcox.com/display.aspx?search=promarker&gclid=CPGnuvyaqK0CFUUPfAodYFhsmg

They do sets if you aren't going to buy individuals. Please don't buy the Ultra Fine Nibs, I had a giveaway a while back and still have some spares and can send you some if you do decide on PMs. You lucky young lady - enjoy your die cutting and whatever pens you choose! Di xx

Hi Laura! Thanks for the sweet comments on my blog. You will LOVE your big shot - I use mine a LOT, lol. I use Copic Sketch Markers, but not sure where would be cheapest for you to buy from. Here are some sites with great Copic tutorials - Suzanne Dean (http://www.scrapbitz-tutorialsandtemplates.blogspot.com/) and Marianne Walker(http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/). Looking forward to seeing your new creations! Happy New Year!

Wow Laura - what a fabulous gift, you lucky girl! You mentioned Copic pens - I usually buy them on-line from Cult Pens, as the prices are good and they have free postage if you are spending £10 or more. Another good site, which sells lots of craft goodies, including Tim Holtz products, is Country View Crafts.co.uk - they have free postage, with no minimum spend. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and joining my Followers.
All the very best for a happy 2012.
